Dear friends of the Art
Domain Gallery,
At the height of its
success, following the 5th presentation exhibition for the Palm
Art Award 2009, our Leipzig art gallery will close its doors
for good after seven years.
It has not been an easy
decision for us, the gallery owners. And you may ask why we say
goodbye despite the wonderful situation the gallery has been
in. Again and again, a person reaches a crossroads in his or
her life at which he or she must decide which way to go next.
In the last few years a small publishing company has emerged
from the gallery, which has long entailed for us a steadily growing
additional workload. This workload has become almost too much
for us to handle so that we have reached the above-mentioned
crossroads.
We have decided in favour of the publishing company, which we
hope will be as successful as our gallery has been.
We know full well that
we owe the gallery's good name and fantastic success to our kind
and loyal audience on the one hand and on the other, to the great
number of wonderful artists who helped the gallery gain a good
reputation also on an international scale.
Our deepest thanks go
out to you all - the friends of our gallery, the collectors,
as well as all the international artists connected with the gallery.
With the closing of the
gallery, the Palm Art Award, the prize for which numerous finalist
and presentation exhibitions were organized at the gallery, will
continue as an online award at www.palm-art-award.com. Thus,
all our friends will be able to keep up to date with our activities.
